Discover 29 Latest Game Cards from Magic's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Set (Including a Commander Deck!)
Everyone's favorite pizza-eating superheroes are arriving to the popular trading card game. The popular trading card game's publisher, Wizards of the Coast, announced a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration at a exclusive panel hosted at NYCC. Is this a exciting addition or yet another Universes Beyond marketing move? We'll let you be the judge.
Take a look here at all the details revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, along with some useful context. All items listed here releases on March 6th, 2026, except for one item — a special Pizza Bundle drops a few weeks later on March 27th.
MTG x TMNT: Main Set Cards
Before we get into the many unique products and bundles available, we’ll examine at the full lineup from the core Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion that were revealed by Wizards. Standard booster packs for the set are set at $6.99 each, while premium boosters are priced at $37.99 per booster.
Let’s explore a few surprising features. First, there's a new mechanic called Sneak Attack, inspired by the pre-existing Ninjutsu ability, where players can play powerful creatures onto the game field whenever an attacking creature isn’t blocked. The big difference here is that Sneak can apply to spells that aren’t creatures as well. The designers also used this chance to refine the ability a little (It counts as playing a spell, unlike the older mechanic). Ninjutsu isn't going away, but it's more likely we'll see the new mechanic in future sets from now on.
“If we ever go back to Kamigawa, we might use the original ability because that plane is it was developed and it’s a hallmark to that,” an experienced game designer explained. “But in other settings, since the mechanics are smoother and the new ability will be in standard, it's more likely we’ll use the updated version.”
That second variant of Leonardo, Sewer Samurai card, is among four cards with unique artwork created exclusively for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman.
Oh, and, if you're shocked by the rules text on Turtles Forever card, which lets you play cards that aren't in your deck, so was I. Yet according to the developers, it’s now a official card in all formats of Magic.
In any case, here are the extremely bizarre land cards with full art from this set:
Following Wizards of the Coast's current policy, all these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard format. Developers state they took care to ensure the new cards and gameplay elements worked smoothly with current Standard expansions such as Edge of Eternities.
“I headed the development for over a year and we were aware it was going to be Standard-legal and what other sets were going to be alongside it in Standard,” the designer says. “Our goal was to ensure that they work well with certain expansions like Edge of Eternities.”
As an instance, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities include a blue-red strategy built around artifact cards.
“They combine to offer the components for a enjoyable Standard deck,” he added.
Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!
Following a decision to design any pre-constructed Commander decks for the Spider-Man set and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, the company is reversing course with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s only a single precon, but it does come with six distinct legendary creatures that can serve as your Commander depending on how you combine them (five of the cards include a unique partner ability called “Character Select” that allows starting with two commanders in the command area instead of only one). Check them out below:
This Commander precon is priced at $69.99, although that could easily go up based on demand. Sources told that it includes 43 new cards altogether, which translates to an additional thirty-seven TMNT-themed game cards besides the six legendary commanders pictured earlier. (Doing some rough math, this suggests about 20 reprinted cards if we assume the precon comes with 37 lands.)
How will the Turtles version of the iconic Sol Ring look like? We’ll just have to wait and find out.
Standard Bundle (Standard Edition)

Pizza Bundle
This is a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, primarily because it comes in what looks like a pizza delivery box. Every Pizza Bundle is priced at $99.99 and includes the following:

- Five Foil pizza-themed lands

For those curious about the “pizza bundle promo” is, it’s essentially a reprint of an older card featuring all-new TMNT art. The team revealed one for the well-known Magic card Dark Ritual depicting master Splinter sprinkling toppings on a pizza. In total, there are six distinct pizza promos in total.
This special bundle launches a couple of weeks later than the main set on March 27, 2026.
Draft Bundle

Turtle Team-Up
Finally, Wizards are introducing a new concept with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of its continued initiative to develop Magic products specifically for new players. In this case, the cooperative set is a special set of decks that let you and a friend join forces to face a “Boss” deck that plays automatically.
The general idea is that every Boss card gives unique powers to the creatures included in the Boss deck. The Boss automatically casts an additional card each turn, and you’ll start off battling {one Boss|
