Newly appointed Women's Tennis Association (WTA) chair Valerie Camillo understands dedicated effort from past positions - notably in a strategic role of the entertainment company managing American country music superstar Dolly Parton's tourist attractions.

In addition to her contributions regarding Parton's portfolio, Camillo arrives at the helm at women's tennis bringing extensive background across sport and entertainment, previously occupying key executive jobs at the National Basketball Association (NBA), the premier ice hockey competition and professional baseball.

Camillo will begin her new role at the WTA next month, taking over from the outgoing Steve Simon, after his lengthy leadership concludes upon his departure.
