Vinicius Jr Extends Sincere Sorry to The Madrid Club Fans
The attacker has registered five finishes in 10 La Liga outings this season.
Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to the fanbase for his conduct when substituted in Sunday's fiery match against Barcelona win.
The Brazilian was substituted in the 72nd min and expressed his annoyance by walking immediately down the tunnel.
The Brazilian later returned to the dugout and, following his side's narrow triumph, tried to confront Barcelona's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury after the game scenes.
"Today I want to express regret to all the Real Madrid fans for my reaction when I was taken off in the big match," he wrote on social media.
"In the same way as I have said in person during the latest training, I wish to express regret anew to my colleagues, the club, and the president.
"At times emotion takes over me because I always want to win and support my team. My competitive character stems from the affection I hold for this club and all it symbolizes."
Vinicius joined Real from Brazil in 2018 for £38.7m and has accumulated 111 goals in more than 300 games.
But his future in the Spanish capital is unclear with rumors in the past few months suggesting that the club would think about permitting the player depart if they obtained a good proposal.
When he was replaced on that day, cameras from coverage provider the service captured him saying: "It's always me! I'm exiting the club! It's better if I leave, I'm leaving."
In his latest post on X, the athlete commented: "I promise to keep fighting at all times for the benefit of Real Madrid, as I have done since the very beginning."
